Isa (Isolde) Caufner war Mitglied der Familien-Gesangsgruppen „Caufner Collection“ bzw. „Caufner-Schwestern“. Zuvor schon trat sie als Sängerin diverser Rostocker Amateurbands in der Öffentlichkeit auf. Im Zentralen Studio für Unterhaltungskunst in Berlin erhielt sie eine umfassende musikalische Ausbildung und ihren Berufsausweis als Sängerin. Von 1980 bis 1985 ging sie als Solistin eigene Wege.
